The local plan proposal for Huopalahdenportti area is at deposit stage. The project, developed in collaboration with the area’s owners and the city of Helsinki, is the first part of major infill development transforming main radial traffic routes into city boulevards. The dense housing area with 2500 inhabitants and new services will supplement the existing Pikku-Huopalahti neighbourhood. A pleasant pedestrian streetscape is created by a meandering inner street, contrasting vistas, and small plazas and shops.
