New rental housing in Oulunkylä, Helsinki

INARO has designed a housing block that will host 96 City of Helsinki rental apartments and 6 commercial premises on Käskynhaltijantie in Oulunkylä, Helsinki. The stairwells divide the building mass into five sections, which is also emphasized in the exterior architecture. The playful eaves line reflects the other new construction along the street. The courtyard wings of the building are lowered towards Teininpuisto and are topped with roof terraces for all the residents to share.

The project is part of Oulunkylä’s infill construction following the tracks of the new tram line, Raide-Jokeri. The contractor has been selected and the construction will begin during the spring. The developer of the project is City of Helsinki Housing production.
