Huopalahdenportti plan proceeds

Last week, the Helsinki Urban Environment committee recommended the approval of the Huopalahdenportti town plan. The plan, based on INARO’s reference plan, enables more than 100,000 sq-m of new housing and more than 7,000 sq-m of retail and office space at the northern end of Mannerheimintie. Homes for about 2,500 inhabitants will be built in the new active downtown-like residential area, with good public transport connections.
