Circular economy is the word of the day

INARO is part of a consortium designing a housing block in Jätkäsaari following the principles of circular economy. Involved are developers NAL Asunnot and Yrjö ja Hanna -säätiö, architecture offices INARO and ARK-house arkkitehdit and circular economy expert Spolia Design. To lay a sturdy foundation for the design, we are investigating possibilities of circular economy in wood construction with funding from Ministry of the Environment.

Last week we visited a soon-to-be-disassembled office building in Katajanokka to brainstorm on reuse opportunities of varying building components.
