Postivarikko and Haagan Artturi shortlisted for the 2023 Wood Award

The community building Postivarikko and residential building Haagan Artturi, both designed by INARO, have been shortlisted for the 2023 Wood Award.

Postivarikko, located in the new residential area of Postipuisto, Helsinki, is a new type of community house for residents of several residential blocks. Haagan Artturi, low-rise residential building made from CLT construction elements, represents a skilled infill building to a dense residential area mostly from the 1950s and 60s.

In total, 12 buildings have been shortlisted for the award. The recipient will be announced at the Puupäivät in Helsinki on the 2nd of November.

Public vote for the award is open until October 30th at the Puuinfo website.

The Wood Award is an award presented annually by Puuinfo Oy in recognition of excellence in wood architecture in Finland. The awards have been presented since 1994.
